1. Reading the Alphabet is specifically designed for older preschoolers or younger Kindergartners who know most of their letters and sounds, yet aren’t ready for a fast-paced curriculum. It introduces sight words slowly and helps to solidify the alphabetic principle. {I used this curriculum with three of my own kids. It built such a rich foundation to take off with reading.}
2. Learn to Read reviews the sight words learned in Reading the Alphabet as well as introduces each of the short vowel sounds through common word families with phonics readers, poetry, games, and hands-on spelling.
