Introducing Thankology, a study of Biblical thankfulness for little learners. It’s time to learn what God’s Word says about being thankful. There are plenty of resources for counting down to Christmas, but I’ve yet to find anything to help little learners study the art of being thankful…until now!

I’m so excited to share with you something new I’ve been working on. I’m calling it Thankology. It’s a 10-day study of Biblical thankfulness for little learners, ages 4 and up.
Giving thanks to the Lord is something we see modeled from Genesis to Revelation. It’s not to be contained to one day a year either. And while I’m thankful for Thanksgiving, we have reasons to always be thankful. As a matter of fact, we are commanded in Scripture to give thanks in all things {1 Thessalonians 5:18}.
Thankology ~ a 10-Day Study of Biblical Thankfulness
Included inside the download, you’ll find 10 day’s worth of Bible passages from both the Old and New Testaments about giving thanks. In some of the Bible passages, specific people are expressing thanks to God for specific things (such as Moses or Hannah). In other passages, the topic of thanksgiving is discussed in a broader sense.
The specific Bible passages are:
- Day 1 ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
- Day 2 ~ Exodus 15:1-11
- Day 3 ~ 1 Samuel 1:1-11, 1:20-2:11
- Day 4 ~ 2 Samuel 7:18-29
- Day 5 ~ Psalm 100: 1-5
- Day 6 ~ Psalm 136:1-26
- Day 7 ~ Philippians 4:3-11
- Day 8 ~ Colossians 3:16-17
- Day 9 ~ Luke 17:11-19
- Day 10 ~ Luke 1:46-55
Ten lessons are provided, which will last two weeks if you do the lessons Monday through Friday only.
Each lesson contains a passage to read from the Bible, a read aloud about the passage and how it applies, a time to sing together {a simple song is included}, prompts to help you pray together, and a printable orament that can go on the “Thankful Tree.”
The prep work to implement this pack is MINIMAL. You can get as creative as you’d like or simply print and use what is provided.
The only prep work worth mentioning is to create a “Thankful Tree” on which the daily ornaments are hung. This can be done WITH your child a day or so before you begin the pack. Collect twigs from your yard or the local park to create a “tree.” We put ours in a glass mason jar, but you could certainly use a plastic vase if you’re worried about the glass breaking.
All resources come in color AND in blackline.
Extend the thankfulness and print more blank leaf ornaments to hand to family and friends. They can add theirs to the tree as well!
